sorry i will try to do better

here's another example of an instance where i might deviate from the original game, where i replaced the original key card reader with a recreation of the film prop. the original is fairly indistinct, whereas the film's version has more depth and is a little more visually interesting, while also doing a slightly better job of communicating it's function with the red and green lights that imply that access might be granted or denied to that door. additionally, recreating the prop allowed me to develop my skills in creating pseudo-3D objects that I was able to employ later on for other elements. i also like adding small bits of text like warning labels that lend the levels a sense of credibility, as though they're real places serving a real function. however i don't think it's an exaggeration to say that this is one of the biggest changes i've made so far; i can't name a single official remake or remaster of a game that will be as faithful to the original as my project will be.

True, but MGM just nuked GoldenEye 25 which was really promising. But all I'm technically doing is drawing a series of images that just so happens to resemble higher resolution versions of the originals, the emulator is doing all the work applying them to the game, right?

here's some more stuff w/ reference materials. i know i accidentally flipped the bottom part of the door, it's already corrected
