They didn't have to fix anything. They just had to not change anything.

Wanna know what you guys honestly think the best SNES game is. For me it's DKC 2

And also the longer US cable, yes. Even the actual console is gorgeous, with the logo laid out like that and the shape of the cartridges. Everything matches so well and goes together so nicely, better than the SFC even.

I've always hated the US design and the cartridges just seem like they were made for an entirely different console, mismatched colors and shapes, bulky.

Why did Europe and America get different SNES designs?

If I mod my PAL SNES to switch to 60 hz will it display colour through composite and s-video?

>compact design
>soft edges
>demure white/grey colour scheme, with a dash of colour from the logo.
>modest branding at the front
>simple control switch/button formation, with satisfying tactile responses when powering on, and ejecting carts.

While I personally prefer the look of the Model 1 Mega Drive, I can appreciate the SNES/Super Famicom's superior design.
I never really liked the N64's squashed, spread out look, with it's bumps and protuberances. Those controller ports were nice though.
