honestly, the revolvers were the first pistol replacement sprites I actually liked and could do something with. I never found angled revolver sprites I like, and I'm not willing to do that rotsprite bullshit to simulate muzzle flip.

there is this sprite though, and I don't remember where the hell I found it, but it looks like I could manage animating the slide of this. and dakka's sprites are already a mess when it comes to artistic style, so oh well.
