You fool. The Dreamcast doesn't use a soldered traditional analog. It uses the same magnetometer setup as the Saturn 3D controller.

The only thing holding it down are two screws.

It's literally unscrew, pick up, and drop in the replacement.

Not OP here with a question.

How do the DC and Saturn 3D controller's analogs compare to others in terms of durability? They use hall effect sensors + magnets instead of potentiometers so I was thinking maybe they wouldn't drift over extended use.

Were there any other controllers that used magnets with Hall sensors for analog controls? The Saturn 3D pad is the only one I can think of.
