I only know /m/ shit and haven't watched enough from the 60s to give recommendations but for 70s my suggestions are, in no particular order
Plot-driven stuff, sometimes with some MotW elements:
>Space Battleship Yamato (only the first 26 episodes it jumps the shark in season 2)
>Space Knight Tekkaman
>Daimos
>Zambot 3 (it's more MotW in the first half but becomes very plot-driven later on)
>Mobile Suit Gundam (note that despite being 1979 it set the tone for '80s anime and more closely resembles that decade)
Episodic monster of the week stuff, sometimes with a general overarching plot:
>Neo Human Casshan
>Voltes V
>Daitarn 3
>Steel Jeeg
I also highly, highly recommend the manga versions of Devilman and the Getter Robo series; their contemporary anime adaptions are very loose and not nearly as good so I didn't include them above.
It's bullshit that they made four new vidya boards but we didn't get a retro anime board
