>Requires a more powerful PC

My guy, when I was in middle school and shit broke, I had to get by with a 2002 HP desktop PC I got free from a friend. It struggled to run HL2, and it was because it was so weak that I LOVED playing SNES games on it because it was so piss easy to emulate.

If you prefer a mister, by all means, go for it. But let's not act like playing SNES games on modern hardware's hasn't been super easy for the past decade

The anbernic rg35xx is probably the best you're gonna get price-wise, at least without sacrificing quality. Good for pretty much all 2S consoles, small enough to pocket, but not so small it's uncomfortable. Basically same size and comfort as a GBC.

I feel lucky in that respect. Mine is 13, I put together a pre-configured, pre-loaded rg35xx for him (didn't do whole libraries, just all the classics mixed in some some lesser known gems)

He was hooked to that thing the entire day I was there, and whenever I talk to his parents they tell me how he's been glued to the thing. Not gonna lie anons, it felt good to be a cool uncle.
