Thanks for the follow-up, though. I found another issue as I was messing around with the S-VIDEO cables. I bought a switcher to take in a few inputs, but in the process of the signal traveling from the console to the switcher to the monitor I got a bit of shadowing everywhere on screen (see picture). When I plugged the S-VIDEO output from the console directly into the monitor the issue went away and I got a much clearer image. This will make things a little more challenging for me to switch between consoles, but at least I have a solution for the time being.

Wish I had an old DVD player lying around so I could see if the issue was the cable from the switcher to the monitor or the switcher box itself.
