I never cared much for it to be honest.
I missed the tone and the mild roguelike mechanics from Diablo 1, while the improvements to the item game was nice, but wasn't really my thing.

That said, the only ARPG i ever really got in to is/was Throne of Darkness, so maybe it's just that i don't care for the genre in general.

The necromancer was baller though.
