Watched some RE2 Nightmare gameplay since I never had that version. the main difference it seems is that the zombies become tier 2 enemies and the handgun is pretty worthless.

Claire:
>never uses the bowgun
>Handgun + Grenade Launcher most of the game
>Picks up SMG
>zombies downed with handgun or grenade launcher
>lickers taken out with explosive rounds

Leon:

>zombies mostly taken out with headshot shotgun
>magnum for lickers
>picks up the backpack

I watched a playthrough of RE2 Nightmare mode for DC. Is it nostalgia or is Re2 really that good? It seems really polished and a great execution of the RE formula.

Meaning Zombies are much more of a big deal in this mode. At 29:09 in Claire A vid below for example, one zombie takes 5 handgun shots. The next one right after takes a whopping 20 shot and does die! The player ends up leaving instead of killing them. You're gonna rely on tricks to kill them more often. That means blowing out their legs with a heavy weapon, and then letting them knaw on your leg so you can kill them. And you rely on your handgun less.

Your weapon choices actually makes some difference. Do you take the SMG in A or B? Which zombies do you end up killing and which do you avoid?
