I luckily got one good friend who also loves retro gaming. We usually pick one game we are going to play in one sitting till we are finished with, no matter what. It's a blast when we have poured hours into Battletoads, Castlevania 3 or Ghost N Goblins and finally can say we beat it together.

Other times he can come over for some casual gaming and beers while we play fairly easy retro vidya.

I've also introduced my gf for some retro vidya, but it must be easy and fun games like Mario 3 etc, if it gets too hard she just gives up. She really liked Mario 2 and 3 though.
