Why is the soundtrack so jazzy? Not that I'm complaining, it's the best music in the series.

it's just an ok game

i do love the visual upgrades and sounds of some of the earlier levels and a handful of the later levels

but these levels are downright annoying and repetitive:

Level 4: Spinning Tales - WHOA MODE 7 WOW LE GAY SHIT
Level 9: The Treasury - i want to like this level so much but even decade later it irritates me, i think its the music and some of the bullshit jumps disappearing treasure platforms and lol oops you missed the hook rings and meat you desperately need (lol)

I rewatched bits of NES longplay of Castlevania 1 and it all just seems right to me idk

maybe 4 should have just been a little shorter

I'm trying to find more footage of Super Castlevania in it's alpha stages. I remember a video of Simon walking down an empty corridor hitting some enemies and doing some other stuff but I can't really find it.

just felt like sharing as all
