vhs can look decent run through a line doubler, heres El Dorado on a denon a/v reciever with tbc line doubler. I want a svhs player but not enough to order one from ebay.

except all the vcd repacks on the web for pirating movies back then. I want it because I couldn't afford one when I bought my 3DO with summer job money. I still watch Disney vhs with my kiddo, except I have a line doubler now to play them in 480p. Hoping to find a svhs player in the wild but I might break and get one from the bay.

I disagree, I still have all my Disney films I grew up with and every single tape I've bought for my kid works. No skipping, no menus to fuck with, Has the possibility of surviving if a toddler gets a hold of it, all those sweet previews and ads.

Line doubled with a tbc and they look pretty good. This is over composite from a shitty old Sharp vcr, I imagine it'd look better yet with a svhs player.

vhs through avr on a 42", not too bad.
