Not sure if this counts at all.

Kid in grade school told he had a friend who worked in the "Pokemon Company", and he knew what's was about to happen in the next episodes of the anime:

Ash was about to catch a new pokemon "exclusive for the anime", but Gary was there too, and accidentally Ash threw the pokeball and he catched Gary instead.

That sounded so fantastic that I believed it for months. I'm sorry.
