Well long story short, i bought a Super Famicom this last christmas and i want to get some games for it since they are considereably cheaper than the American versions.

One i always wnted to play was Secret of Mana, i see it goes for less that 10 bucks but my question is, is this game text heavy? could i be ablke to finish it without knowing Japanese? besides the names of the characters and story of course, are there any puzzles or something that willr equire understanding the story?

Also, why the hell is the japanese version of Super Piunch Out so rare? ive been trying to find it for at least a month but havnt seen one yet, was the name different than the American version or what? if anyone could find me an ebay link to it i would really appreciated, thanks.

The SNES did get a severe visual downgrade, admittedly, though the Japanese/European design look kinda "gay" also.

Sup /vr/, just bought one of these bad boys, but sadly it did not come with a power supply. I need a power supply that works properly in American outlets. I've heard that the American Sega Master System and Genesis 1 power supplies work, but I didn't want to risk frying my system.

Does anyone have any recommendations for specific power supplies for this system?

I've been thinking about picking up a Super Famicom since I can get one pretty cheap the only thing I'm worried about is playing Snes cartridges on it. I know I can just swap out the boards using a bit set but I'd rather not take the thing apart, and I also don't have a spare cart to put the board in. So what kind of adapter would I be looking for to play Snes games on SFC?

Two SNES/SFC questions:
-Will North American games work on a Super Famicom, all physical lockout notwithstanding?
-Are the SNES/SFC ROM chips the same size between regions? Could someone theoretically change an American game into a Japanese case that could fit a Japanese machine?
