The secret to finding good stuff at thrift shops is to go often. It also helps if you expect nothing.

My local Goodwill had fucking nothing for about 3 months, then suddenly last week they had Pokemon Y for $10, some retro controllers, and a decent selection of PS2 games.

The best thrift shop is still Savers though, pic related

My local thrift shop never has anything, but it's so close I end up going there often.

They had a stack of SNES games today, $3 each

Yoshi's Island and one ALttP were bought at another store for $10 each
