my point is that they were raised on social media, online 24/7 culture. they are the first generation that has no context of the older media, millenials still had a good grasp on pop culture references from 60s/50s and earlier because they were so ingrained at that point, same with literature. zoomers only know pewdiepie and other e-celebs, nicky here didn't know who spartacus was but admitted to watching the "the joker" 10 times in the cinema when it came out

zoomers don't understand duke because they have no context of what he is parodying, nor do they understand why he behaves like he does. zoomers are going to be another one of those generations that everybody hates, like boomers, things are just getting started. Notice how in my pic related they cannot grasp basic sarcasm or humor at their expense, something I hope everyone here knows how to handle. They were raised on social media and every waking moment of their lives is documented on the internet, even a slight chuckle at their expense is equivalent to them of insulting them to their face in real life. I should state I met multiple zoomers who actually did behave like this, I'm not theorycrafting.
You also have to understand that with social media, come social ratings. Old social standings have been replaced with like ratings, downboats, shares and whatever the fuck else they have. "Cringe" is just them disagreeing with you, that's how they've been raised: They don't know how to articulate as to WHY they don't like duke, but they do know how to press a button to make their "like" rating go down by 1. I've known a girl that would scream at me for not "loving" her photos on social media, I clicked "like" because I thought it was the same thing. It wasn't, she took that as a sign I didn't love her enough, and had to change my rating for her picture. This is their reality, I hope I helped
