I wouldn't be getting a MegaAmp if I went with a 3/4; It'd be a cheaper decent audio alternative.

For the MegaAmp, I already have the VA7 and two shitty Model 2s I could use. I can't say I've looked into it heavily, but the VA7 and full board Model 2's have most of the same components, yes?
I like the look of the Model 1 better, but would the Model 2 <1.8 sound better after being modded? I know it's meant to be a catch all solution for high quality audio, but it's still worth asking.


A Genesis SCART cable really wasn't that high of a priority for me until I rigged together a way to feed my PVM directly off the AV connector on the back of it. None of the components that you'd actually have in a SCART cable, but it still looked wonderful.

Despite seeing that repeatedly on here, I have never had that crop up on me. I wonder what causes it; Shutter speed or the exposure length? All I can recommend is fiddling around with your camera and seeing what works/doesn't or at least reduces the effect.

My camera likes to focus in such a way that you get large portions of the screen not captured as the beam draws to the screen.

Weirdly enough, it often leads to some of the better exposures and most vibrant (in my opinion) of captures. Sadly, moire patterns like to get baked in when this happens as well. Pic related.

Ended up rigging together a temporary RGB setup in the same general vein as >>2197553. Sculpey worked so much better than clay and tape it's not even funny; Wish I had remembered that I had it before.
