It is a short game but a very good one that had the magic of a marriage between Sega arcade hardware and Capcom design with Psikyo shooting expertise allowed to experiment. Really wanted to see Cammy in polygon form, and was not disappointed. The characters has that Capcom cool look just at the end of their peak. It might be ahead of its time, since it could have benefit from modern amenities like new cosmetics, DLC characters, addon stages, and progression systems.

There were so many back then. Most were in, some were just the damsels in distress, but for the most part a lot of them were in the games I like and more often the reason they were games I liked.

Try Gunspike/Cannon Spike. It has Bulleta as a playable character to run and gun.

The Japanese version requires some points to get from playing in the arcades. I have carried a save on 1 VMU and I think my friend might have a copy of the same save I had made from back then. The game is not popular there and the MVC2 cabinet at Super Potato doesn't even have a VMU slot, so if I were to ever lose the save, the Japanese home version would be nearly useless and lacking characters. That is a huge flaw in the Japanese Dreamcast version which other versions do not suffer from: it is reliant on arcades to continually have MVC2 available to get all the characters at a later date.

Yeah, Gunspike Cammy is supposed to be like Motorball Gally from Gunnm. Staying true to her original inspiration.

Cammy has appeal for me since Super. It was just the curiosity if they can do the character justice on Naomi hardware after the hype of reading about it in magazines.

Why the dislike for danmaku? I guess if those don't count, Gunspike is pretty gun too from Capcom.
