This is pretty much every Western IP that isn't the flagship for a huge publisher. All it takes is 1 bad game, or even a game that doesn't completely print money, for the suits shitcan it. If they're desperate for new IPs they'll do a soulless reboot later. There's so much gold just completely left by the curb while schlock is churned out knowing normalfags might like it.
