Once I can get to finishing the retro Win7 time machine, I will try to get to 3. Burned this torrent to disc, but I believe there is newer versions of it.

I meant back then when 3+4+5 were new. I had to forego playing the games due to financial limitations in not just getting the games but their compatible hardware as well. Started building the Win7 machine, but stuck trying to find a technician who could work on CRT monitors. I have made it no secret I am closer to the former over the latter.

I kind of prefer GOG since it is DRM free.

I wish I could buy my own house. Housing and rental prices are out of control in my region. Rising prices in groceries, rent, gas, among other expenditures coupled with all time highs in inflation compounded with worldly events have made it difficult to do so at this time.

I must have missed out. Played a lot of DOS games in those days, thanks to all the Usenet sharing we all did back then. Must've passed it off as some edutainment software that I did not pay much attention to.

Transformers, Robotech, Voltron, G.I.Joe, etc. didn't really need any character near the age group for the audience to proxy. In fact, I only remember Pidge of the green lion being an unabearable shithead of a kid. That formula seems to be the exception rather than a rule.

You right. I couldn't tell the difference. Then I don't recall any Inspector Gadget games that I played.

Nice! Great to preserve these before they disappear into just a memory. Hopefully it could lead to all those Macromedia Flash games wiped from time without the leaky memory issues.

I remember. Got so much from the site. Amazing community too. Some torrents were so well curated. I miss it too.

I've wanted a retrowith.in account too, but I've not mustered up the will to beg for an invite yet.

I think it was a great mix of talent with a genuine drive to do something creative. Confident in their abilities to maximize whatever platform for their vision. Everyone I know has a different favorite LucasAtrs game, and that's a great thing. They aren't all winners, but when thy hit a high point they really hit a high point.

I have a 486DX4 machine with Windows 98 installed. I only have 4GBs left on the hard disk and I intend to use 3GBs (1GB slack for ever growing .swp file) for DOS games. I anticipate most of that space will be used up by old DOS point & click adventures, especially the CD-ROM versions.

The space will have to be rationed out wisely. I downloaded the recent 1.9 version of this torrent, and I wonder would/could the talkie versions of Sam & Max, Day of the Tentacle, Kyrandia 1&2, Leisure Suit Larry 6, and Kings Quest 6 work with just all the files extracted to the hard drive or should I just burn them to CD? [I chose those CD-ROM titles as they were my past, but without the CD enhancements, I will also install a few floppy disc point & click adventures I liked too like Leisure Suit Larry 5 and Space Quest 5, but I have to prune away titles due to my 3GB limit]

My 486 system does not have the expandability to add another hard drive so this is all I have at the moment. Also I am trying to win the Roland MT-32 auction to experience these games in an even nicer way please don't outbid me

On the successor site, is there a newer version of this torrent? As I am still using the ones from this collection. I think there's probably new additions now like a "talkie" version of Monkey Island 1&2 for ScummVM where they pulled the audio from the newer Special Edition releases.
