solid as fuck series usually trying to bring something new to the table almost every stage

even in DKCR you can see that spirit (level with the waves from the background, giant octopus level, minecart levels with giant wheels, rocket levels, rising lava, dem fucking sunset levels...)

I love this trilogy, probably my favorite platformers

If I ever have children, this is the one series I'm gonna try to show them.

DKC2>DKC3=Returns>DKC1

My only problem with DKC2 is that Dixie is too much better than Diddy

On DKC3 I hate Kiddy. Other than that I love the change of atmosphere. It's just... different. The stilt villages, climbing woods, those weird mills, climbing mountains, dem songs too

My only problem with Returns is the waggle not being optional. Loved the game all around.

DKC1 has some aspects that were obviously lacking in quality, but it's still very solid.

DKC is one of the most solid franchises I've seen. I just can't talk about the GBC games and GBA ports because I haven't played. I do know, however, that DKC... 3 on the GBA (I think) has an extra world, and DKC2 has an extra boss

also DKC3's GBA port's music is done by David Wise, and some songs are better, some are worse

Pic very related, makes me feel comfy as fuck and nostalgic of when I'd play DKC3 with my friend with a cartridge that couldn't save the game
