What are your kind doing to get disc rot? Especially on something as new as PS2 discs?

My hair metal CDs from the 80s are all still flawless. My PS1 and DC and PS2 games are all flawless.

The only things I can think of that can cause this is:
>smoking household
>humid warm air
>mold
Surely you must fit one of these categories? In which case:
>smoking
stop, it’s bad for you anyway, literal cancer.
>humid
dehumidifier.
>mold
that stuff is leathal, it’ll kill you dead, especially if it’s the black stuff, get it removed professionally.

The only problem I’ve had with discs is when buying used games from GameStop, the top layer picture side of the disc where the data layer is is scratched and makes parts of the game unplayable.
