Because Porsche is straight up intended to be TNFS: german edition and that comes with it a different pace of gameplay compared to III and high stakes which might not be suitable for someone who has never played this era of NFS before. My suggestion is just the starting point, not a comprehensive list of the best titles.

The first - absolutely very first - game I played when I got my 4k monitor was NFSII just because it tickles me playing old games at stupid resolutions they were never designed for. It waited 20 odd years to find out what was on this fucking sign.
