>Sharper
So many different makers can lower what you would say the average shadow mask to be. That said, the phosphor arrangement of slot masks just don't lend themselves as well to a very sharp image. Dot triad, on the other hand, can match and arguably surpass the sharpness of an AG display, but you're only going to see this on PC monitors and high end ones in particular. Slotmask was the primary mask design for TVs, despite coming later.

>Brighter
This goes back to when the tech was still new, but Trinitrons do tend to be a brighter (on average) picture. This comes down to the wires that make up the AG blocking and as such absorbing less of the electrons being shot at the screen to excite the phosphors than shadowmasks, as such the phosphors end up emitting more light. This was in comparison to older dot mask sets, and definitely was a selling point. The slot mask was invented specifically as a response to this, to allow for greater light emission.

>warmer, less clinical
Possibly from having more natural bloom than even a basic consumer Trinitron. They do in general have a softer image, which could be seen as a benefit in terms of aesthetic. Even with a higher TVL SM vs a lower TVL AG, you can still end up with sharper/more squarer "pixels" on the latter just do to the phosphor arrangement.

>480i
You get a sharper image, but also can end up with a bit more flicker than a shadowmask display, but this is a bit more of a source to source and model to model basis.
