Not any guides I know of. But yes, your PAL NES controller can be used. Just clip the end, solder the famicom controller end on, using heat shrink tubing to insulate them. Then open the controller up and desolder the red and yellow wires, swapping their positions on the controller. Then it will work on your famicom.
