N64 is great until you realize:

A. You get to put up with MILES of Nintendo politics to develop properly for their platform. If at any point you displease shogun Yamauchi, kiss your dev. support goodby.

B. Because of the extreme likelihood you will fail point A. by sheer virtue of not being Japanese (this is a proper virtuous console for proper virtuous Nippon-folk, you filthy gaijin!), you better be REAL clever at programming blind, because you get to write your own manual for the N64. Failure means your game either looks or runs like shit (but you get to choose!).
