Anybody up for a game of Mario Kart 64 through the wonders of netplay?

1. Open Project64. Options > Settings
2. In the open dialog box you'll see Options. Expand it and uncheck "Pause Emulation when window is not active?" With this we can use AQZ and the emu simultaneously with out interrupting gameplay.
3. Go to Plugins in the same dialog box and set AQZ Netplay v0.20 as your input controller plugin. Close this dialog box.
4. Options > Configure Controller Plugin. Here is where you pick your controller plugin. AQZ acts as a middleman between the player's input plugin and emulator. Works really nice and is much less likely to desync than Kaillera. Now that your controls are all set up and it's time to load the game.
5. When you open a game with AQZ selected as the input plugin the AQZ menu will pop up and it shows a list of commands.
6. Set your name with /name insert name here

You can host a game or join another person's game if you have their IP. You can easily obtain this at http://www.canyouseeme.org..
When hosting a game it is important to have your ports open, specifically 7845.

7a. If connecting type in /connect [IP] [port] of the person you're connecting

7b. If hosting test it alone. Again, host a server alone with /server 7845 and then /start. You don't have to use the /connect function in your room.

IRC Chat for setting up and various other things:
