I'm sorry dude, but I have to agree with the others at this point that there's no way you're not just trolling. You expect me to believe Castlevania 1-3, Kid Icarus, Faxanadu, Ghosts n' Goblins, Metroid, Contra etc were no trouble but somehow Mario 2 has had you filteted for 30 years because you can't figure out the throw mechanics?

You could probably copy the level layouts and enemy placements but change the theme and graphics.

A mix between classic CV and something like Bad Street Brawler might be really popular.

We misuse the word "retro" around here. Technically it's all about style, specifically imitating styles from the recent past. So in reality, they're being accurate. The games don't literally look like old games, but they are reminiscent of the style. So that makes them retro.

The graphics in old games aren't retro. They're old. It's not the same thing.

You could make this argument about any number of games, especially games of that era. 10 minutes of Space Invaders and you've pretty much played Space Invaders. It just depends if you like them enough to try for high scores and getting better.

Rampage may well not be a game you enjoyed a ton, but that's different from it being crap.

This is a seriously pretty great game. As is Destiny, but after that the series took a horrible nose dive in my eyes.

This weekend I spent a bunch of time going back to some old DOS games. Bad Street brawler brought back some great memories. There really should be more games devoted to beating up old people.
