Has anyone else bought Doom on a console to play split screen 4 player couch co op?

It's fun as fuck, and almost anyone who doesn't really play games can pick it up and play since it's barely 4 buttons and aiming is only left and right, but I imagine there's something horrifically blasphemous about doing this to the people who truly love the game.
