I thought Altered Beast GBA was okayish, at least pretty faithful to the original. Shinobi was just a butcher job, really really bad. No way to tell it was supposed to be a Shinobi game without looking at the title screen.

The sound design in those games was also some of the worst I've ever heard.

Music wasn't so hot either.
