all right so yeah here's my advice
- add a few more monsters, it's kind of empty
- watch your texture alignment
- try not to use so many different textures in the same area, it looks cluttered
- instead of texture variation, add lighting variation instead.

i see what you were trying to do but there's not really anything there to mark the trigger. unless i was supposed to stumble over it accidentally... you could make the outer edge of the barrel pit the trigger instead, which would be more noticable as an careless or incautious player would be likely to jump in it.
