It had a day/night systen that had a real impact when almost all RPGs could only fucking dream about it. You were able to hunt and do other interesting shit, It had a FANTASTIC OST, it had a very decent length, it had context sensitive skills which allowed you to revisit already explored areas etc., it had GORGEOUS spritework which was fully animated (again find me SNES RPGs where this is the case) etc... but yeah according to all the fucking zoomers it is barebones, simply because the story a little bit is.

Dragon Quest is fucking barebones, certainly not this you dumb retarded fucks
