>Road Rash has SLOPES. It's also even more fast paced than F Zero and had more satisfying thrashing than Mario Kart. It's a perfect combination of semi-realism and action. I don't know what but there's something about Road Rash that gives it a better sense of weight and momentum than Mario Kart.

The Road Rash engine was pretty good overall. I think it only runs at 15-20FPS, but it does a good job creating the look of simulated scaling sprites. The engine was also used in Skitch'n as well.
