I can never understand how anyone can choose the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive over the SNES.

First of all the standard controller is complete shit, three fucking buttons? Wow, that works just great for anything that isn't baby's first video game. Oh but I know, you guys had that 6-button controller, that's a shit solution for having to buy yet another controller to just enjoy your games.

Furthermore, the audio and sound hardly ever surpassed what the SNES was capable of. Sure, some games* were better on Genesis but those were far and few inbetween.

I'm just saying whenever I went to a friends house and all they had was a Sega Genesis, I figured they were dumb, poor, or a combination of the two. I went as far as making sure not to invite them to my birthday parties because I didn't want anyone fagging up my day and not knowing how to handle a SNES controller by the time the party came back to my house.

*Sonic 2, 3, & Kunckles were good. Also Streets of Rage 2

Question is, why did the Genesis have such laughably shit sound capabilities?

Hell, Michael Jackson even demanded his name be taken off the credits for the music he wrote for Sonic 3…
