Yes. Europe got quite a few curved widescreen sets from all sorts of brands. Us North Americans only really got a handful. There was also of course the GDM-W900.

Flat tubes can be okay if you're able to calibrate a CRT. Which you really should be able to do if you own one, not like you're gonna find somebody else to do it.

most TVs don't have very acceptable geometry along the edges and a lot of older games have junk in the overscan area anyways. I'd rather clean edges then a wavy ass edge so I just overscan to about the red dots in 240p test suite.

every wega I've owned has had some nasty geometry issues, generally shoulder rolloff distortion as sony supposedly called it. after the third one had the same issue I just decided to actually do something about it so I taped some magnets to the tube to adjust the geometry and added some convergence strips. looks pretty good now. it's not perfect but for a consumer set it looks pretty good.
