Let's discuss SEGA's best console, lads. Favourite games for it? Last played game? Raddest peripheral?

ITT: post underrated platforms that don't get discussed often enough on /vr/.

Sure is hard to find good games on this thing...

Like most people I missed out completely on this console. In fact I never even knew it existed for a long time.

So is this console good? I find it odd how the pause button is on the console itself. It seems very counterproductive. The d-pad also seems a bit strange. Besides that it basically looks like the Sega version of an NES.

Tell me more about this console and its games as well as your thoughts on it /vr/. What are your favorite games on the Master System?

Is the Master System the worst globally released Sega console?

Or should that title go to the Saturn, which was ultimately the reason for Sega's death?

What are some must-play SG-1000 and SMS games?

I finally picked up an SMS today, and now my Sega console family is just about complete. I currently only have three games: Outrun, Hang On, and Astro Warrior. What are some must haves for the system?

I have an SMS 1 and the RGB doesn't work. All my other consoles work find but this one doesn't. Maybe the caps are busted, I dunno.

Anyways, I much prefer the SMS1, but that's mainly because the lack of a reset button on the SMS2 is a bit of a deal breaker for me, and I also think the SMS1 looks way more aesthetically pleasing.

If you don't mind the design and the lack of reset button, I say you might as well go for the Master System II. They're usually a lot cheaper than the SMS1. Hell, last time I checked an SMS2 with Alex Kidd built in was cheaper than the Alex Kidd game itself. Master System's RF looks just fine to me (playing on a CRT, bear in mind).

I never really hear people talk about this console.
Are there any good Master System games?

I have been playing Sega Master System quite a bit through emulation and I think I am ready to take the dive into owning a console and games but what is the best option. I already have a Genesis Model 1 so I do have the option of the Power Base Converter or the Power Base Mini....but the console is so much cheaper at times...but I'd like to have room.

What are the pros and cons of either option? I have little desire to play Sega Cards

Never played a master system game so I decide to give it a go and holy shit the games I played for awful, How can the nes shine so much and this suck?

I FM modded my Master System a few weeks ago and I really fucking want a Master Everdrive for it now.
