Why, there were other Goemon games released recently? Don't think so.
Uh, yeah in my opinion, GGA is the best one. Although I think GG2 is pretty close; GGA just feels like the epitome of everything Goemon has been.
The DS game was fine, but it was its own thing, using the DS's stylus controls and that weird isometric angle (that still somehow worked), but GGA was the real Goemon swan song.

Goemon's Great Adventure got the opening and impact songs removed for whatever retarded reason.
Eh, play the japanese originals if you can read japanese, otherwise play the english version of GGA and then watch the opening and impact videos on Youtube. Not the same, I know, but there isn't any other important thing that was removed in the game. Oh yeah, the manji blocks were turned into star blocks because "Muh nazism"

Those are all amazing games, but I think Great Adventure was peak Goemon.
And it still has Kageyama and Mizuki ichiro goodness (although cut on the non-jap version)

I know videos of people playing vidya music on piano are common as fuck, but people playing music for this game is quite unusual to find.

They're different kind of games.

I enjoy MNsG more as an adventure, the plot is really funny, really wacky characters, traveling all around Japan is amazing, and the level design is superb, especially for an early 3D game (dat Gourmet Submarine).

GGA is a side scroller, probably the best Goemon game, it's like a culmination of al the side scroller Goemon games on SFC and more. Fun co-op and also great levels.
The plot wasn't nearly as engaging or funny as MNsG though, but it still had charm and funny moments.

I'll never forgive Konami for removing the intro theme and Impact theme on the NA version of GGA though.

Goemon is good, but I also think the fact that no famous youtuber made any video series about Goemon also helps.

Most of us who always post on Goemon threads are people who actually played these games back in the day (at least the N64 ones or the first SNES game), we don't have outsiders who got into the series due to youtubers, so that helps a fucking lot.

I wish Castlevania threads were as comfy as Goemon threads are. Both series are among my favorite vidya series of all time, and my favorites from Konami.

You're in for a treat. Both localized N64 Goemons are amongst the best in the series.

I only own the 2 N64 games, the first one boxed, and GGA loose (it was already difficult to find it for a decent price).
Beat those two, MN for SNES and the DS game, I'm planning to play the rest of the SNES and Famicom games that are fantranslated.
