Seeing as this thread is going wildly off-topic, I'll throw my hat into the ring.

Personally, I prefer SS2. In many ways it's objectively worse than SS1, but the skills system gives it a replayability that SS1 doesn't really have. I love experimenting with different builds.

Also, SS2 has a modding scene, and SS1 doesn't.
