The TV has a hidden panel (meant for the tuner adjusments) I'd put the switch there (pic related)
I can't into PICs, so the switch would be the only thing I can do.
I know the dangers of CRTs and high voltage stuff. Luckily, this CRT has nice reusable plastic ties that keep all the HV stuff out of the way. Another question: Is it neccessary to use shielded cable?
