Thanks for the suggestions. I'm looking for something like soldiers with helmets and body armor for the marines etc, when I said "sci-fi" I mean something like aliens : colonial marines or like black mesa security.

Looking at the Blue Shift boxart it looks like they have proper body armor. And dunno about "mall security", they're not quite as "military" as the marines for sure since they seem to be more on the inside dealing with scientists and other workers but they're still all armed.

Originally they were supposed to be straight up military police iirc (and enemies)

Contrarian opinion for this website, I know, but Blueshift is the only HF I can see myself returning to in the future.

Why does this game have so few weapons compared to Half-Life 1 and Opposing Force?

You don't even get the crossbow, tau cannon, gluon gun, hivehand, etc, from the original base game? They left out half the guns. This is especially poor compared to Opposing Force, which added the wrench, knife, desert eagle, displacer cannon, shock roach, spore launcher, barnacle grapple, M249 SAW, and sniper rifle.
And new enemies. Again, Blue Shift left out more from the base game.
