Ah. In other words the Bydo become the very thing they were created to destroy due to time travel fun times. Unfortunately they leave it specific enough that in the 26th century they seem to lack anything like the R-Type fighter. Then there's the whole thing that you'd think they'd have access to records of the interplanetary wars the essentially took place for most of the 22nd century. It's a shame Irem decided to get out of the Video Game business 'cause now we may never get the specifics.
