/vr/ - Retro Games

what a great game this was.
I just finished replaying it, and it feels so strange knowing the full canon just how simple things were back then, how this story literally wraps up by riding off into the sunrise.

I picked the Meryl ending, and I regret it. I much prefer the Otacon one, but still both are great. I feel weird, I can't really describe it, it's like returning to that childhood game you loved so much, finding that were just as simple and cool as you remembered them, and how much more complicated they got later. Feels analogous to life itself. Being reminded of the great times, and finding comfort in going back and realizing that it's all still there.

I know /vr/ isn't exactly super hot on Metal Gear, but playing it again brought back a lot of good feelings and reminded me of why I loved it in the first place. It still holds up in my book.
