SNES is the obvious choice, with NES being an arguably better choice because it was a permanent casual deterrent. Kids and core players used the NES. It was a win-win console.

but for the sake of keeping as many autistic Earthbound fans out of the hobby forever I would choose N64.

So I was an early Ouya backer and it came in last week. I refuse to be down about it, so I'm making the best of the situation and grabbing some emulators.

SO, I was wondering if /vr/ would mind giving me some old school games to play. My first console was an N64 so I'm pretty behind on stuff from before then. Don't try and think of your favorite one or anything, just give me the first one to come to your mind (even if you hated it). I figure there'll be some interesting answers that way.
