Honestly look up /v/ recommended on Google. It's a great place to start. Rocketboy has decent lists too. Teh romz are almost all on archive.org.

Genesis was my main console but got snes when it got cheap. Didn't give snes much chance back then, but now that I've explored more of its library as an adult, I can say both systems are great.
