I am really old, so I remember playing and loving 1-2-3 and by the time 4-5-6 were released, I was playing SNES and the X series. I did eventually get back around and played 4-5-6 later, I like them just about as much as 1-2-3. I don't hate hearing that, as that's just an opinion which differs from mine: all 6 of the NES games were great.

I liked the games since the first one back in the 1900s. It was popular enough to get some cool animations and merch that I wanted.

I agree. I enjoyed all 6 of those, and I cannot pick a definitive favorite. Others have their order of preference, but I just cannot say why one is better than the other.

I don't know how it would turn out but I know some things don't translate well between language and culture. If not for those decisions, sometimes those Japanese games may not as popular today if not for those difficult decisions made in localization back then, so there must've been some talent involved.

I don't think the Strider cover is that bad. The Japanese one isn't significantly better. It has that South American painted movie poster look that is popular and loved in the Americas which takes some art skill to create. As a bonus it sells to a broader western audience than the niche Japanimation audience of the day.

The famicom too. Just fun games which get better and better. The music in them are great, I can still hear them in my head even without playing them.
