Sonic II is better, everything was perfected.

DKC games had mid-level checkpoints and extra lives all over the place and I didn't mind replaying levels over again since I'd just get better at them. Also we didn't get a lot of games so I had to make a single game last as long as possible. 100%ed DKC and DKC2 at around 8 years old. Fuck DKC3, absolute trash game and I'm glad I rented it so I never asked for it for Christmas. Ghosts N Golbins did make me cry when I was about 5 though.
