I replayed the game a couple of years ago and was really surprised at how well that game holds up technically. It could even pass as an early PS2 game.

I will contribute to this thread with pic related. Definetively not a well known game, it always stunned me back in the day how good it looked. Gameplay wise is a standard beat 'em up with some really cool mecha fights.

There was other game from that series (Super Sentai, the japanese versions of Power Rangers) for the PS1 called GaoRanger that also looked really impressive. Both games were made by Natsume.
