Even palettes can be improperly handled, especially if the seller doesn't know how to properly brace things.

That said, if properly packaged, a CRT can safely make the journey, even with UPS. That's how my Ikegami ended up getting here.

This is the outer layer of the cocoon that it showed up in; The inner layer was 3 or so layers of heavy duty bubble wrap completely engulfing the monitor to the point where you couldn't see anything of what was inside. The box itself was 3-4 times larger than the CRT itself.
