To be fair cheesy as it is, Mortal Kombat captures the feel and totally does justice to it's source material. But I do agree on Silent Hill as well, it was almost as good as you can hope for a video game movie. Got the feel, told a story that was close enough to be clearly Silent Hill but different enough to be interesting to someone who knows the exact plots of the games, meanwhile working for those who don't.

had no idea, but they filmed it near where I grew up and the opening scene is a plavr I would ride my bike to on weekends. It was pretty nuts.
