most people seem to think so, but Toshiba and Mitsubishi ( and Samsung)

made some pretty good sets around the same time that had very comparable features, sometimes even exceeded the quality of consumer Trinitron units.

also, I prefer the older black style Sony TV, (pick related) they gave me way less problems.

plus I don't anyone ever solve the geometry issues with superflat tubes (please correct me if I'm wrong)
